I have just found this website. This is my Grandad's brother - Reginald Thomas Freed. His parents were Frank and Ellen A Freed.
I am, as I type, looking over his army records. He signed up on 31/5/1915 saying he was 19 y, 1 m. In reality he was no older than 16.
This past weekend we rediscovered his war medal so finding him today is very poignant.
The family eventually moved away from the south coast.
