My dear Great Uncle Walter James Farrier also had another brother killed. Albert Edward Farrier of the 8th Battalion Royal Fusiliers died on 4th Aug. 1916, in Ovilliers, Northern Fance. Another brother, Private Percy Farrier, lost an arm in combat in the French trenches during 1916.
Hi Michael, I've looked at the later editions of the paper and photographs of all the brothers are printed in August 1916. I will get these uploaded over the next few days.
Many thanks for adding all of my Great Uncles here on your website. My quest to gain more knowledge of my relatives has been ongoing for many years and occasional nuggets of info do come to light!
