  • I have researched the Harris family of brothers who lived at 1 Edward Terrace, Hollington and referred to your site. I can add a little information: “Mr & Mrs” Harris were James and Caroline (nee Foster). There were 6 brothers in all and just one sister, Louisa, who died 1900, aged 14. The boys in order of age were: William J (1885-1966); Thomas J (1888-?); George Henry (1889-?); Edward John (1890-26 April 1918); Frederick Charles (1893-1962); Albert Joseph (1898-1969). Edward’s picture is not included here but he was the only brother to have been killed. He served in 11th Battalion, Royal Sussex. Killed in action, France & Flanders, by artillery fire.
