George Arthur Blackman: Born about 1881 in Hastings area.
Firstly married Elizabeth Manders in 1904 at Hastings.
1st child George William N. Blackman, born Hastings 1906.
Family emigrated to Canada in August 1907 aboard ship Champlain.
2nd child Arthur Blackman born 1908 Hamilton, Canada.
Family was at 9 New Road, Clive Vale, Hastings on 1911 census.
Secondly married Daisy Weaver (nee Ansell ) 1958 Hastings, after living together for over 25 years and after death of his first wife in 1958.
George died in 1965 in Hastings aged 84.
He was taken prisoner in WW1 by the Germans in March 1918
( Daisy Weaver was my Grandmother by her first marriage)
